Powers in the Pacific
This course looks at the role of the major powers in the Pacific region. This will include America, China, Japan and Australia. A study of these countries will look at a variety of aspects of each country. This will include: some early history, modern transformations through conflict and foreign influence, and the present state of each country.

Assignment Deadlines and Submission Policy:Exact dates to be confirmed: 1. Film Analysis (T1, Wk 6) 2. Historical Essay (T2, Wk 3) 3. Exam (T2, Wk 7/8) You must also complete weekly homework and in-class assignments as outlined by me and shown on the individual pages for each week. SUBMISSION POLICY: 1. All assignments are to be submitted by the due date. Any assignment submitted after this date will be penalised at a rate of 5% a day. The only exception is if students have been ill (I require a parent note) or where the student has come to discuss alternative arrangements prior to the due date (this is at my discretion and will only be granted if sufficient cause has been demonstrated). 2. You must have your name written on your assignment - check before submitting! I will not mark work without a name. 3. All assignments (and all work) should be neat and presented to the best of your ability. Your work should reflect the care and effort that has been put into it. |
